By accessing or using the Project Sahitya website (www.projectsahitya.org), web application (Project Sahitya Teacher Portal), or any related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

Project Sahitya is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to transforming early literacy for children in rural India through right-brain, cognitive-science-backed education.

Project Sahitya provides the following services:

• A public website with information about our mission, blog, events, and engagement opportunities.
• A donation platform for processing financial contributions.
• The Project Sahitya Teacher web application for authorized teachers to deliver curriculum to students.
• Newsletter and communication services for program updates.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our Services at any time without prior notice.

Donations made through our website are processed securely via Razorpay, a PCI DSS-compliant payment gateway.

• All donations are voluntary and are used to fund Project Sahitya's educational programs, operations, and outreach activities.
• Donations may be eligible for tax deductions under applicable Indian tax laws. Tax receipts will be issued upon request.
• Refund Policy: Donations are generally non-refundable. However, if you believe a donation was made in error or was unauthorized, please contact us at contact@sahitya.org.in within 7 days. We will review each request on a case-by-case basis.
• We do not store your credit card or bank account information on our servers.

By submitting content through our Services (including contact form messages, volunteer applications, blog comments, and event RSVPs), you:

• Grant Project Sahitya a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with our mission and services.
• Represent that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.
• Agree not to submit content that is defamatory, obscene, harmful, or otherwise objectionable.

We reserve the right to remove any user content that violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate.

All content on our Services, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, curriculum materials, and software, is the property of Project Sahitya or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on our Services without prior written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use in connection with our educational mission.

The Project Sahitya Teacher app and its curriculum content are provided exclusively for authorized teachers. Unauthorized copying, recording, or distribution of curriculum materials is strictly prohibited.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Project Sahitya and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use our Services.

Our Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Maharashtra, India.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
